Wedding – Kelly and David

They found each other on the Bulgaria Alps. Kelly and David fell in love and sealed their love in a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Cottesloe Civic Centre in November last year. Kelly is a local girl from WA, who decided that she wanted some European experience after graduating from University, so she travelled to Scotland for work. David, a handsome and intelligent young Scotsman, like Kelly decided to travelled around Europe for some experience in life. It was a fairy tale story of how the two lovebirds first met during their holiday break in Bulgaria, continued to develop their friendship that turned that into love in Scotland and finally decided to returned to Kelly’s hometown, Perth, to marry and settle.

After the ceremony we did the portrait session on the grounds of the Civic Centre before heading to the beach for some fun with the bridal party. Reception was held at the Cottesloe Surf Life Saving club. The reception was brilliant as it was filled with many great and funny speeches, and most of all, the awesome group dancing. The couple organised a Scottish ensemble who taught everyone at the reception some Scottish folk dancing. Most of the guests converged on the dance floor filling the air with the most unbelievable joy and fun.

Here are some of the images we captured on their special day:

Kelly and David, thank you for sharing your day with us and asking us to document your day. It was definitely an unique experience for all of us.

Wedding – Cassandra and Leon

Not all marriages are made in heaven, but it’s hard not to think so when your wedding is greeted by a day that could well be what it’s like. It was one of those when Cassandra and Leon got married. Sunny, warm, with a bit of a breeze, but not too much, with bees buzzing peacefully around the fountain in St George’s College, where the ceremony was held. A perfect summer’s day. A perfect wedding day.

Their ceremony was held in the beautiful chapel at the St George’s College ground. Bridal portraits were taken at both the college ground and University of Western Australia (UWA)across the road. The entire bridal party was up to the challenges we gave them as we filled the afternoon shoot with lots of laughters and fun.

A quick trip to the iconic Matilda Bay Boatshed for some photos was done before we headed down to Red Herring Restaurant in East Fremantle for the reception.

The evening was completed when Cassy and Leon performed their magnificent bridal waltz to the tune of “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green. There were lots of “wows” and “oohs” as the newly wed couple put up some stunning dance moves and the guests were treated to a superbly choreographed routine.

Wedding – Clare and Nic

Clare and Nic held their wedding ceremony in a beautiful garden setting at the Variety Pavilion in Kings Park. Their ceremony was witnessed by their families (with all of them flown in from overseas), their closest of friends and work colleagues. There were constant laughters and smiles all around. It was surely an emotional and memorable day for all who were there.

We proceeded to UWA after the ceremony for some quick portrait shoots with the couple before returning to Kings Park to rejoin the guests and friends.

Wedding – Debbie and Darren

Yanchep Sun City Country club was the where Debbie and Darren exchanged vows and said “I do”. The day was in early November.

The beautiful wedding ceremony at the country club was followed by a location portrait shoot at the Mindarie Marina before heading back to the Sun City for the reception. The location shoot was full of fun and laughters. Debbie and Darren also managed some private and romantic moments together around the marina.

Wedding – Prue and Paul

It was a beautiful day in late October when Prue and Paul exchanged vows at the Caversham House in Swan Valley. Prue and her bridemaids arrived in style in a strikingly red Chevrolet stretched limousine. The ceremony was held at the magnificent grounds of the Caversham house.

We managed to sneak some more photo opportunities while the guests were enjoying some pre-dinner drinks at the reception. Situated at South Guildford, the Rosehill Estate consists of an impressive federation style manor and an old style stables building in an enchanting country setting.

The entire day was filled with fun, laughters and tears of joy. One thing that was really special on their wedding day was the limo. One would ask what was so special about a converted and stretched 1950s Chevolet, well you see, the Chevolet was owned by one of Prue’s bridemaid’s father, who also served as the driver on that day. We also had some of the best photos taken with the Limo on that day. Here are some of the images that we really like:

Wedding – Simone and Jeremy

It was exactly a month ago when Simone and Jeremy walked down the aisle of the Claremont Christ Church in a special marriage blessing service.

Left for London 4 years ago, Simone found love and her Prince Charming, Jeremy. Although wanting to return to Perth to be married, some unforeseen circumstances changed their plan and they held a small wedding ceremony in the UK before returning to Perth. Determined to share the joy of their marriage with their family and friends in Perth, the couple returned to hold a special blessing service in the church where they affirmed their commitment to each other.

Here are some images we captured on their special day.

Wedding – Courtney And Glen

Theirs was a contemporary take on love-at-first-sight. Courtney literally ran into Glen on a reveller’s night out with friends, in the same spot outside the Esplanade Hotel that they would have their wedding photos taken, 4 years later.

Fremantle provided a picturesque (if very windy!) spring setting for their wedding on 5 September this year. Courtney got ready with her bridesmaids and Glen’s adorable twin girls at the Esplanade Hotel, and exchanged vows with Glen at the Round House, overlooking the sea.

The bridal party braved the wind chill for the photo around the streets of Fremantle, which ended in the warmth of Little Creatures Brewery in Fremantle (a favourite hangout of theirs), where the atmosphere was lively and the staff wonderfully welcoming.

The day ended where it began: with the reception being held at the Esplanade Hotel. The room was decorated in keeping with the rest of the day, white theme with wine red accents. Sheer simplicity and elegance.

Courtney’s father gave a rather animated speech that had the guests grabbing their sides in laughter, and some of Glen’s schoolboy history was revealed as well in the “open mike” session after the main speakers were done.

Their wedding ended on the joyful note that had carried it throughout the day. Courtney and Glen spent their first night as husband and wife in a luxurious suite, a complimentary upgrade from the Esplanade – a very nice touch to the start of the rest of their lives!

Here are some images from their wedding day which I absolutely love….

Courtney and Glen’s Wedding Preview

Courtney and Glen were married at a beautiful ceremony at the Roundhouse in Fremantle last Saturday. They were surrounded by their families and closest friends. We were initially worried about the weather as it was forecast to rain quite a fair bit throughout the day. It turned out that we only had a few showers but also strong gusty winds that lasted the entire day. Nevertheless, we were able to capture some priceless images despite the challenging conditions.

The bridal party were superb though. Kudos to everyone in the bridal party! Braving the elements, chilly winds and the occasional sprinkles from the heavens, the bridal party ensured that the bride and the groom would have a collection of beautiful images to remember and reflect on their special day.

I am so eager to share some of these images, but I believe it is only right that the couple get the “first look” at all their images 🙂

Here is the only preview I will share for now…

Courtney and Glen, you two are just such wonderful people. We were so touched by your speeches. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your day with us!

Wedding – Catherine and Simon

Catherine and Simon exchanged vows and committed themselves to each other last month. It was only three months ago when we shot a pre-wedding portrait session with this lovely couple. It was definitely a joy for Charlene and I to be asked to shoot their wedding day. We invited Kate Namesnik to join our team for the day (Thanks Kate).

The wedding day started with Catherine arriving at their church in Joondalup for the wedding service. After the official “I Do’s”, we headed to the Sir James McCusker Park in Iluka for the bridal portrait session before arriving at the Joondalup Resort for the reception.

Here are some of the photos we took on their wedding day:

Wedding – Mandi and Pierre

Mandi and Pierre were married in June at the Caversham House. The ceremony was held on the ground by the river. It was a beautiful ceremony witnessed by their dearest and closest family and friends. The Caversham House also has some of the most beautiful settings and thus we had the bridal portrait photo session there after the ceremony.

The reception was held in the Marquee. It was filled with lots of fun, emotions and laughters. Traditional Croatian food, songs and dances were some the best parts of reception as well as the traditional toasts done in full Croatian fashion.

Once again, Charlene assisted me in this shoot and here are some of the photos we took that day:
